Who we are

Resettle is operated by Privacy Advice LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, USA. When this policy says "we," "us," or "Resettle," that's who we mean. We are responsible for the personal information described here (the "data controller").

What we collect, and why

We keep this deliberately small.

• If you join our newsletter — your email address. We use double opt-in, so you confirm by clicking a link before we send you anything. Our newsletter runs on Listmonk, software we host on our own servers.
• If you email us to book or ask a question — your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to tell us in your message. We use it to reply and to arrange your sessions.
• If you pay for a session — payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. We do keep a basic record of the transaction (what was bought, when) for accounting.
• When you visit the site — we use Umami, privacy-friendly analytics that we host ourselves. It measures things like which pages are visited, in aggregate. It does not set cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not identify you personally.

Your sessions stay private

What you share in a session is confidential. We do not keep digital notes about your sessions in third-party cloud services: no Google Docs, no Google Drive, no online notebooks. If any notes are kept at all, they are kept privately and minimally, and never uploaded to a cloud platform.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data, and do not hand it to data brokers.

We rely on just two service providers, each doing one job:

• Brevo (a company based in the EU) — delivers our emails. To send you a newsletter, your email address passes through Brevo's system.
• Stripe — processes payments securely when you pay for a session.

That's the complete list. If we ever add another provider, we'll update this page before it goes live.

Cookies

We don't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. Because nothing here tracks you, we don't show a cookie consent banner. (A few strictly technical cookies may be needed to keep the site secure and working, nothing that profiles you.)

How long we keep your information

• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click, and we remove you promptly.
• Emails and booking messages: kept while we're in contact and for a reasonable period afterward, then deleted.
• Payment/accounting records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• See what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's wrong.
• Delete your information.
• Stop using it for a particular purpose (for example, unsubscribe from emails).

If you're in the United States (including California)

We don't sell or "share" your personal information as those terms are defined under California law (the CCPA/CPRA), and we don't use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email hello@resettlestories.com. The same applies to residents of other US states with similar privacy laws.

Children

Resettle's services are for adults. Our services and this site are not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't invite to participate or collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top.
